Disenfranchised and alienated as youths by mainstream American culture these first generation Chinese immigrants sought their identity in the little known underworld of Asian organized crime. As teen foot soldiers they witnessed the trafficking of narcotics and human beings. When they should have been attending high school they were participating in auto thefts and home invasions. For Chow this was to be his life, his way. He dreamed of being the boss of this world, and so he has become. But Shawn dreamed other dreams. He dreamed of running as fast as he could to escape this world, and with Chows help he did just that. And though we can run from our past it will be there waiting for us the moment we stop running. For Shawn, today is that day. The two men who were once brothers, but now walk different paths on opposite sides of the law, meet in one of their old China town haunts to remember and exorcise the ghost of the ties that bind them. But old ghost won't rest and before the day is done one will betray the other to save himself.
